The Vibrato Bar is an Authorized PRS Private Stock Dealer
This is exactly what Private Stock is supposed to be.
We had the opportunity to personally select the woods for this McCarty 594 from the PRS Private Stock Vault, with one goal: find pinnacle examples of each species and build the entire guitar around them. The result is spectacular.
The centerpiece is an outrageous one-piece Quilted Maple top finished in Bahamian Blue Dragon's Breath. The quilt is enormous, deep and incredibly three-dimensional, moving from brilliant turquoise and Caribbean blue into a lighter center that lets the natural character of the maple show through. Under High Gloss Nitro, it is absolutely insane in person.
Turn it over and the Black Limba back is every bit as special, with incredible natural grain and matching Black Limba backplates. Then there's the full Ziricote neck, paired with a Ziricote fingerboard, headstock veneer, pickup rings and truss rod cover. Curly Maple binding creates a beautiful contrast and ties everything back into that incredible top.
The Kingman Blue Stone 20th Anniversary Birds may be our favorite detail. Outlined in White Mother of Pearl with flowing wisps across the Ziricote board, they're joined by a matching Kingman Blue Stone Private Stock Eagle and even blue-stained Curly Maple tuner buttons. Every detail feels intentional.
McCarty III pickups, the classic 594 control layout, PRS two-piece stoptail and Phase III locking tuners make it every bit as serious as an instrument as it is a piece of art.
At just 7 lbs 6 oz, Private Stock #12474 is the realization of the exact guitar we envisioned when selecting these woods in Maryland. This is why you go Private Stock.
